Before joining 3D, Violette Ruppanner was a senior policy advisor and director of communications at IDEAS Centre, a Geneva-based non-profit organization that assists developing countries in their quest to integrate the world economy in a way beneficial to their development efforts. She also worked as Council Officer at the EFTA Secretariat, held various positions in the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) promoting bilateral economic relations and economic development cooperation. Violette also served as a diplomat at the Swiss Embassy in Hanoi, where she was in charge of economic, commercial and cultural relations. Trained as an economist, she holds Masters in Management of Technology (MoT) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland and in Business Administration (MBA) from Michigan State University, USA. She also was a visiting scholar at Nanjing University.

Katia Aeby has a degree in Social Anthropology from the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM) of Mexico. She worked in the field of peacebuilding and human rights in Guatemala and Switzerland. Currently, she studies at the Graduate Institute in Geneva, in the Masters Programme on Development Studies.

Stewart Jackson, a chartered accountant working for WSP International, is providing accounting support and financial advice to 3D. Stewart has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce and Administration from Victoria University, Wellington, New Zealand. He has worked as an accountant in both the private and NGO sectors for over twenty years.

Emmanuel Dalle Mulle studied International and Diplomatic Sciences at the University of Trieste (Italy), where he founded the student magazine “Sconfinare”. He then obtained a Master in International Studies, with specialisation in International History and Politics, at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies of Geneva.
